BIO

If life is short, we might as well have fun living. Songs to help you feel all your feelings. Channeling classic garage rock sounds, Sparkle Blood is equally comfortable raging against sexism or professing their love of denim. Boy/girl vocal harmonies propel surf-punk sing-alongs exploring the human experience.

Bre Day – drums

Bailey Kate – bass/vocals

Tyler Stewart – guitar/vocals

After releasing their debut “Denim Tape” back in 2016, original members Bre Day and Tyler Stewart blasted stages across the prairies, opening for the likes of The Pack A.D., Slow Down Molasses, Shiverettes, and Renny Wilson’s Punk Explosion. They were even commissioned by CKXU 88.3FM to write a theme song for their annual festival Love & Records. Shortly thereafter they went on hiatus in 2017, a truly genius business move.

A decade after first forming, they have recently rekindled the rock and roll flame, adding superfriend Bailey Kate to round out the lineup and infuse a new batch of songs with fresh energy. Huffed up on the southern Alberta winds, these Lethbians are chronic band swappers, now bringing their magical forces together for musical domination. Shared bands/past projects include Peace for Bombs, Atomicos, Starpainter, Ramonesque, A. Trozzo, and more!

Cold Bones Fest respectfully acknowledges that we are on Treaty 7 territory, the ancestral and traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika, as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. We recognize the land as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those on whose territory we reside.
